Great photography is about so much more than just being there with a camera - it’s knowing exactly when you’re going to break out that smile, it’s making your guests feel at ease, it’s getting a giggle from the bairns, and it’s tiptoeing over to the right place at the right time; the magic is found in these fleeting, candid moments.
This is a day full of truly uncountable little snippets of joy and love - it’s your job to live in those moments, and it’s mine to capture all the blink-and-you’ll-miss-’em ones going on around you.
To have and to hold forever
You want to enjoy photos both now and in 20, 40, 60 years time (!), so to make sure they reflect the true you, it’s my job to know who the true you is! Our journey together starts with an initial meeting where we discuss your plans over a coffee or beer, followed by a free engagement photoshoot so we can really get to know each other. After your wedding we’ll meet again and put into your hands photos that you’ll treasure happily ever after. (I don’t call that our last meeting because by that point we’ll be best pals!)
I’ve spent a decade finding materials and fabricators which can turn our photos into stunning heirlooms, so as well as photos I can create some really special print artworks for you to be proud of.

“Alasdair did our photos for our handfasting, including a pre-event shoot when we were both working at a music festival - he came to site and got us in a rare break. We were stupidly busy with work all summer so it was difficult to fit in in-person meetings to discuss what we wanted, but he was excellent with online and phone communication, and we have the most wonderful pictures as a result. We only wanted a few staged/posed photos - done very much on the hop - but for the rest we really just wanted to capture the spirit of the event, and Alasdair managed exactly that. He was a great presence on the day, and our family and friends loved him and felt really comfortable around him. We didn't like the idea of being absent from our party for ages to do pictures, but he had brilliant ideas for sneaking off for a few photos of just the two of us in a nearby forest, which we absolutely love.
